In this webtorial, Coach Colin introduce a new tool that can be used to help our coachee gain clarity and balance in different areas of their lives. It is based on the metaphor of a wheel, where each section represents a different aspect of life, and the goal is to achieve balance and alignment across all areas.
We were asked to draw a wheel with 8 segments and they were labelled Health & Nutrition, Activities, Relationships, Family, Fiance, Career, Joy and Happiness and Self-Image. We were then asked to assess our current level of satisfaction from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest satifaction) in each of these segments, and place a marker in the segment (1 being closest to the centre of the wheel and 10 the furthest away from the centre). We then connected the markers in each segment on the wheel and immediately we can see whether our lives are balanced.
When we use this tool in our coaching sessions, we can help our coachee gain a holistic perspective on their lives and identify areas where they may need to make adjustments or improvements. It provides a visual representation of their priorities and helps them stay focused on what matters most to them. Additionally, the framework encourages them to take a proactive approach to creating a more balanced and fulfilling life.
